In the Canada and Caribbean area of YMI, we're deeply committed to environmental stewardship, dedicating Week4Waste in April to raise awareness and action.
Through initiatives like beach, lake, and river cleanups, we actively remove pollutants hence safeguarding our marine ecosystems.
Our efforts extend beyond cleanup events; we also actively engage in replenishing the earth by planting trees and establishing backyard gardens.
We prioritize reducing our carbon footprint through sustainable practices and by promoting renewable energy adoption. Advocating for carbon offsetting, we empower communities to mitigate climate change's adverse effects by educating and mobilizing individuals.

Y's Men in Canada and the Caribbean are steadfastly advancing the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal 2: End hunger, achieve food security, improve nutrition, and promote sustainable agriculture.
Through a multi-pronged approach, we address food insecurity by establishing and supporting food banks, contributing to school lunch programs, and offering nutritional education.
Additionally, we empower communities by providing backpacks of essential food items to families in need. We promote backyard gardens to foster self-sufficiency and offer help in financial and nutritional literacy.
Our mandate then is not only to alleviate hunger but also build resilient food systems for a brighter, more food-secure future.
